Senate committee on info Technology and Telecommunication has directed Asian nation Telecommunication Company restricted (PTCL) to organize slabs concerning further surcharges on its consumers’ utility bills.
The committee met with legislator Rubina Khalid within the chair to debate complaints concerning non-issuance of utility bills by PTCL to its users and levying the surcharges on shoppers on account of non-payment of bills on the day of the month.
Rubina Khalid aforesaid that the delay in phone bills happens on behalf of PTCL however the users were being burdened by non-payment surcharges of 100 percent.
The committee members stressed that there have been many areas wherever bills weren’t being received where as E-bills couldn’t be downloaded because of weaker web services.
Senator Rehman Milk asked the representatives of Ministry of IT to resolve the problem of unfinished payments of pension to retired staff of PTCL to that the ministry assured the legislator that this issue is being taken care of.
“According to Italian Framework, the record of monthly incomes every worker of each ministry was revealed on the ministry’s web site. This observecreated it easier for the authorities to organize the audit report for tax invaders. It aly penalized 5000 individuals for corruption under neath this framework “, he said.
He aforesaid that the Asian nation Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has not created any rules and laws concerning the scrutiny of social media users.

The meeting was attended by Senators Rehman leader, Rubina Khalid, Rukhsana Zuberi, Kulsoom Perveen, Sanaa Jamali and Adbul Ghafoor Haidri beside officers of PTCL and Ministry of IT.
